Welcome To Leeds

For our first group project we were asked to produce a bespoke map of Leeds. Dividing the work equally between us we each took an establishment to research and produce a symbol for. Collaborating on the overall look of the map we decided on a black and white colour scheme to avoid the overpowering and cluttered look of ordinance survey maps, but an accented river as a natural landmark is easy to navigate by.

I found working in groups challenging, particularly for the first brief as it was hard to find a style and pace of working with people that I didn't know, but it was a valuable experience that allowed me to immerse myself in both the city and the university.
