Submission
Both final designs were also expanded to include the provided copy on the back cover, and then formatted to the full-size submission specifications to also include the spine of the book.

Final feedback on these designs concluded that Design 1 would be the most appropriate for this competition. While there was still much positive feedback for Design 2, it was felt that the resemblance to an academic textbook would be too strong and impact negatively on the judging. Design 1 felt modern and fresh, and appealing to a wide audience, whilst still acknowledging the important history of the book.
Design 1 was submitted to the competition on 06/03/18.
