Evaluation
Chicken Wingdings is a humorous typeface created as a reaction against traditional type design. Its concept is firmly routed in humour, which creates a highly effective visual appearance. This was highlighted positively during feedback with both peers and tutors. Although the forms of the letters appear relatively simple, the technicalities of creating the full digital typeface provided a number of challenges, and skills in Adobe Illustrator had to be strengthened and improved. Working collaboratively with a peer required some planning in regards to time management and deadlines. However working as a pair also provided more efficiency with the design of four full typeface families, and tasks were split evenly to ensure maximum productivity.
