Evaluation
This was the most successful issue of NEST magazine so far, both in terms of design and engagement across the university. Working with a large number of students required effective time managements, but precise planning regarding the submission period around the wider university timetable resulted in a continuously high participation rate. Submitted work was therefore of the highest quality so far. Conscious design decisions were made in regards to the relationship between imagery and text, and how the theme of motion could be used to inform the layout and design of spreads. Previous budgetary issues were resolved through communication with print professionals and the decision to change the print supplier. Working with an external printers required efficient communication and time management, and the flexibility to work around temporary deadlines. Feedback on the design of the magazine from both students and senior staff was highly positive, and the representation of a large number of students through the magazine was commended.
